1. Design and Construction:

WTGO Series: The WTGO Series features a three-pass design, allowing for increased heat transfer efficiency. These boilers have a cast iron construction, which provides excellent heat retention and durability.
WGO Series: The WGO Series, on the other hand, incorporates a two-pass design, making it slightly simpler in construction compared to the WTGO. Like the WTGO, it also has a cast iron construction for heat retention and longevity.
2. Efficiency:

WTGO Series: The WTGO Series typically offers slightly higher efficiency compared to the WGO Series. Its AFUE ratings are generally in the range of 85% to 87%.
WGO Series: The WGO Series also provides good efficiency, with AFUE ratings similar to the WTGO Series, typically around 85% to 87%.
3. Size Range:

WTGO Series: The WTGO Series comes in a range of sizes, offering more options for heating various sizes of homes or buildings.
WGO Series: The WGO Series also comes in multiple sizes, but the size range may be slightly different from the WTGO.
4. Application:
WTGO Series: The WTGO Series is suitable for residential and light commercial applications, offering reliable performance and efficiency for both.
WGO Series: The WGO Series is also designed for residential and light commercial use, making it a versatile choice for heating needs.
5. Venting Options:
WTGO Series: The WTGO Series provides both chimney venting and direct venting options, offering more installation flexibility.
WGO Series: The WGO Series also offers flexibility in venting, with options for both chimney venting and direct venting.

6. Specific Features:

While both series share many features typical of Weil-McLain boilers, there may be specific design or control variations between individual models within each series.

They replaced my oil tank and oil burner. Price was considerably better than other 2 quotes I received. Work was done in a day. Beautiful job… so clean, great crew. Highly recommend.

Sara K.

My old Weil-McLain was replaced by HeatAirTech’s oil burner service. When I called other companies they were higher priced. Carl was great, he paid attention to all the details so this made me choose them and my new heating unit is running great with high efficiency compared to before. I am saving almost 20% on heating oil purchases.

• All daily and weekly instructions listed on this page must be followed.
• Burner motor may have to be oiled. Some motors are permanently
lubricated and do not need additional oil. Check for oiling instructions
on burner or motor.

Boiler shutdown:
Do not drain boiler unless exposure to freezing temperatures will
occur.
- Always keep manual fuel supply shut off if burner is shut down for
an extended period of time.
• Turn off switch at boiler and any external switch to boiler.
• Close fuel valves.
• Turn off water feed valve.
• Cover burner to protect from dust and dampness

1 - If burner does not fire, check for:
• Service switch on control or additional switches turned off.
• Fuses or breaker switch tripped.
• Thermostat set below room temperature.
• Fuel valves turned off.
• Not enough oil in tank to supply burner

2. Correct problems found in step #1. If burner does not fire,

Repeated presses will deposit oil in combustion chamber.
Burner must never be fired when oil is in combustion
chamber. Immediately call Instally Long Island service

What are the differences between Weil-Mclain WTGO And WGO Series?
Weil-McLain WTGO Series and WGO Series are both lines of oil-fired water boilers designed for residential and light commercial heating applications. While they share some similarities, they have key differences in their design and features. Here are the main differences between the two series:
